The insights summary reads your subscription and transaction history and explains what is actually happening to your recurring spend.
What it covers
- Total recurring commitment, monthly and annualised.
- The biggest movers since the last period and why they moved.
- Categories quietly growing — streaming, software, fitness, delivery.
- Overlapping services that likely duplicate each other.
- Concrete, ranked suggestions with the saving each would produce.
When to run it
Monthly is enough for most people. Run it after connecting a new account or after a batch of cancellations to re-baseline.
How to use it well
Treat the suggestions as a shortlist rather than instructions. The model can see cost and cadence; it cannot see how much you value a service. Work down the list, decide keep or cut, and use a negotiation script on the ones you want to keep at a better price.
Limitations
- Only connected accounts and manually added subscriptions are visible to it.
- Annual subscriptions with a single charge in history are under-weighted.
- Figures are as good as the underlying data; confirm outstanding detection candidates first.
