Households and invites

Last updated 25 August 2026

A household is a shared workspace for people who split subscriptions — partners, families, flatmates, or a small team.

Creating one

Create the household from the household page, name it, and invite members by email. Each invite is single-use, expires after a set period, and can be revoked before it is accepted.

Joining

An invited person accepts the invite from their own Flowarden account. If they do not have one, signing up through the invite link joins them to the household automatically after email verification.

What is shared

- Subscriptions explicitly shared into the household.

- Renewal dates, amounts, and price history for those subscriptions.

- Shared savings totals.

What is never shared

- Raw bank transactions and account balances.

- Personal subscriptions that have not been shared.

- Payment methods, billing details, and security settings.

Leaving and removing

Leaving removes your shared items from the household view immediately. Administrators can remove members; removal is recorded in the household activity log. Deleting the household removes the shared view only — every member keeps their own data.

Limits

Household size is set by the owner's plan. If a downgrade takes you below the current member count, no one is removed but new invites are blocked until you are back within the limit.
