Alerts are how Flowarden earns its keep between logins. Configure them once, deliberately.
Alert types
- Renewal reminders — a set number of days before an expected charge.
- Trial expiry — before a free trial converts.
- Price changes — when a merchant charges more than the previous cycle.
- New subscription detected — when a new recurring charge is identified.
- Connection health — when a bank connection needs reattention.
- Weekly or monthly digest — a rollup of upcoming renewals and spend.
Channels
Email is available on every plan. SMS is available on higher tiers for time-critical alerts — trial expiry and large renewals — and requires a verified mobile number.
Tuning the noise
Most people over-alert at first. A good default is a digest plus renewal alerts above an amount that would actually annoy you, plus every trial expiry.
Delivery and reliability
Alerts are queued and retried on failure. Security and billing messages are transactional and always sent, regardless of marketing preferences.
Troubleshooting
Check the spam folder, confirm your email is verified, and confirm the specific alert type is enabled. For SMS, confirm the number is verified and has not been opted out by replying STOP.
